We are pleased to announce a visit to St. Leonard’s Church, Horringer, at 7.00 pm on Tuesday 18th July. This is near Bury St. Edmunds
St. Leonard’s stands just outside the gates to Ickworth Park (the National Trust Property). St. Leonard’s is a Parish Church and does not belong to the Trust.
The road it stands alongside is the A143. See the Church’s website & map: https://www.achurchnearyou.com/church/2222/
Please note: there is NO Parking on the grass outside the church gates. Free parking is to the rear of the church in the Community Car Park (marked on the map and plainly signposted on site). There is a short, safe walk from the car park to the churchyard. The car park is divided into 2 areas by the Community Centre. You may use both areas.
We commence at 7.00 pm to make the most of the daylight and to allow those coming from work to make their way to the meeting.
There will be a talk about the History of St. Leonard’s by Mr Colin Cook.
Refreshments will kindly be provided by the Church Wardens.
St. Leonard’s History books will be on sale, and a booklet on the bells’ restoration project. Please consider making a personal donation to the upkeep of this interesting rural Church.
Visit costs: NLHS Members: Free; Adult Visitors: £3 each
